CONFIDENCE STATEMENT:
When you use any of First Call/2-1-1 services, you are not required to reveal your identity, unless, of course, you need the services of a contact person from another program. Even then, First Call has always prided itself in maintaining extreme confidentiality and requires new staff and volunteers to sign confidentiality statements when they first start with our agency. No information about a caller is revealed to any person outside the organization without the caller's permission. Most information doesn't go beyond the staff or volunteer directly involved in helping the caller. Also, information about our volunteers and other program participants is NEVER given out to callers either. We maintain confidentiality on both sides of every call.
